ID Care & Aetna Reach Contract Agreement

ID CARE and Aetna Health Plans have reached an agreement on a new contract that covers infectious diseases services for Aetna insured patients.

ID CARE is the most comprehensive group of infectious disease specialists in New Jersey and the second largest of its kind in the country. ID CARE provides management and care of patients with infections including: sepsis, Lyme disease, cellulitis, hepatitis, HIV, MRSA, Clostridium difficile (C.diff), post-surgical infections, slow healing wounds, and fever.

According to their web site, Aetna is one of the nation’s leading diversified health care benefits companies, serving an estimated 44 million people and offering a national network of doctors and hospitals that is among the largest in the country.

“Our agreement with Aetna Health Plans provides the opportunity for Aetna insured residents in New Jersey to access the largest organization in the state that is dedicated to the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of infectious diseases,” stated Dr. Ron Nahass, President of ID CARE. “Through our 10 offices and multiple affiliations we will be able to work with the patients and Aetna to ensure the highest value care.”

The agreement with Aetna Health Plans goes into effect on Tuesday, September 15, 2015.
