Why I’m an infectious disease specialist

“I was always fascinated with microbiology during my time in medical school. When I was a medical student, I rotated in infectious disease and saw many interesting cases and advancement in treatment for HIV that decreased morbidity and mortality for many patients.”

Approach to infectious disease care

Dr. Lee emphasizes the significance of communication in managing his patients’ care. With many patients being admitted to hospitals as inpatients, Dr. Lee prioritizes talking with both patients and their loved ones, ensuring they understand the treatment plan and offering reassurance about their recovery through treatment.
