Why I’m an infectious disease specialist
“I was drawn to become an infectious disease specialist early on in my life. Growing up in an area ravaged by infectious diseases deeply influenced my decision to become an infectious disease doctor. As an infectious disease physician, I get to treat a broad range of illnesses, and each case presents a unique challenge. It’s a perfect blend of detective work and science, where each case presents a unique challenge waiting to be solved, and the reward is the well-being of my patients and the greater community.”
