Why I’m an infectious disease specialist

“I chose to specialize in infectious diseases because I have always been fascinated by the complex interactions between the human body and the microbial world. Infectious diseases are both challenging and rewarding to diagnose and treat, as they often require piecing together intricate puzzles to find the right answer. This specialty allows me to work with a diverse group of patients and make a tangible difference in my patients’ lives by managing chronic conditions, curing acute infections and providing education on prevention.”
