Najah I. Doka, MD, MPH
Growing up during the HIV epidemic, Najah I. Doka, MD, an infectious disease specialist dedicated to HIV care, saw the damage infectious diseases could cause firsthand. Simple infections from bacteria, fungi, or viruses would claim many lives in a short period of time. Dr. Doka was inspired to become a physician so she could help people live longer and healthier lives — providing a simple vaccine or drug could mean a lifetime of freedom from illness. As infections can be totally healed with a proper diagnosis, being able to see patients live healthy and successful lives, is what Dr. Doka is most passionate about in the medical field.
