“As a family nurse practitioner, I chose to specialize in infectious diseases to have a significant and direct impact in the care of patients affected by a wide variety of infectious agents through comprehensive and effective treatment plans, with the ultimate goal of helping to minimize morbidity and mortality associated with infectious diseases.”

Desere Dove’s approach to patient care involves close collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to create and deliver comprehensive, individualized treatment plans. She believes that the most important aspect of quality care is taking into account psychological, social and economic factors that can influence a patient’s recovery, ensuring that each plan is tailored to the patient’s unique needs.
