Why I’m an infectious disease specialist

“I was always amazed by science and knew that I wanted to have a positive impact on people each day – this led me to medicine. I had the opportunity to train in Kenya and Uganda and saw, firsthand, the impact that infectious diseases have globally. The impact microorganisms can have on health is fascinating, and I enjoy the challenge of identifying infection-causing organisms and helping patients live healthy and complete lives.”

Approach to infectious disease care

Dr. Henry Redel approaches each patient and their condition by fostering a collaborative environment to ensure accurate diagnosis and develop a treatment plan tailored to the individual.
