Why I’m an infectious disease specialist

“I have always wanted to work in a field that was very dynamic and ever changing, and I feel infectious disease is one of them.”

Approach to infectious disease care

Dr. Husain values a patient-centered approach to care, prioritizing ample time to thoroughly listen to patients’ concerns and discuss their treatment plans. He believes that his manner of being easy to talk to fosters open communication and encourages patients to explain their unique situation, which enables him to provide the highest quality of care.

Dr. Husain is most proud of the outcomes he achieves in helping patients get better, and is driven to make a change in his patients’ lives and health. He believes new developments in infectious disease care are always taking place, and he is motivated to continually learn about and apply the new ways to improve the health of his patients.
