Why I’m an infectious disease provider

“I became interested in infectious disease through my love for wound care and my passion for helping patients. Decreasing hospitalization and streamlining treatment has continued to grow from there.”

Approach to infectious disease care

Justine Krougliak’s approach to patient care involves treating the patient as a whole, rather than focusing on a single issue or problem. She emphasizes understanding how one aspect of health affects another to manage care more effectively moving forward. This can include providing information on the effects of diabetes, offering dietary support or simply offering a kind ear to listen to patients’ concerns. She enjoys being able to educate patients on their medical issues and being able to explain to them the science behind what infectious disease providers do and why.
