Approach to infectious disease care
Dr. Sneha Thatipelli’s approach to patient care is holistic. She believes that understanding and treating infectious diseases goes beyond simply identifying and eradicating pathogens. For Dr. Thatipelli, it’s about considering the entire spectrum of factors that contribute to a patient’s health – biological, environmental and social.

Dr. Thatipelli is a dedicated physician who thrives on the complexity of infectious diseases, finding fulfillment in the challenges it presents. She always prioritizes her patients’ needs and works to help them achieve the best possible outcomes, both inside and outside the hospital. Dr. Thatipelli is a great listener and always tries to understand her patients’ health goals and preferences, which her patients value.
She earned a master’s degree in health policy research to combat health disparities and help the undeserved. In addition to the research listed below, Dr. Thatipelli has contributed to several publications, made oral presentations/invited talks, and produced several abstracts.
Dr. Thatipelli was born in India and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. She enjoys learning to play the guitar and watching Bollywood movies in her free time.
