February’s National Heart Month saw people in businesses and medical offices donning red on Wear Red Day, February 2. This was to show their support for The American Heart Association’s fight against heart disease, the leading cause of death in the U.S. and particularly dangerous for women. ID Care’s Dr. Ronald G. Nahass participated, with team member Rajeeyah Madinah creating “healthy heart recipe planners and journals” to aid women at RWJ’s Newark Beth Israel Family Treatment Center and RWJ University Hospital.
“If there is anything I can do to support the prevention of cardiovascular disease in women, I am willing to do it,” says Madinah, creator of the planners and journals.
