“Travel Medicine, particularly on the international scene, involves infectious diseases. It’s more than just looking up a list of what vaccines are required for any particular destination. It’s integrating all kinds of other issues, whether it’s chronic illness, altitude sickness, malaria prophylaxis, security issues, political instability, among others. There’s many essential things that get put into Travel Medicine.”
