Dr. Sukrut Dwivedi, infectious disease specialist at ID Care, was announced the recipient of the 2020 Ocean Medical Center Nurses Choice Physician of the Year Award presented by Hackensack Meridian Health. This prestigious award is presented annually to a physician who promotes collaboration and congeniality among the members of the interdisciplinary team, demonstrates commitment to caring attitude towards patients, and contributes to a positive work environment at Ocean Medical Center.
The Ocean City Medical Center Nurses Choice Physician of the Year Award celebrates collaboration between nurses and physicians and recognizes physicians who demonstrate exemplary teamwork. Dr. Dwivedi is one of eight physicians — across many different specialties — to win the award this year. He has previously won the award in 2013 and 2017.
“I am honored to win this award for the third time,” said Dr. Dwivedi. “The work that I do every day is equally important to the people I work with. Nurses are the backbone of the Ocean Medical Center, and to be recognized by them – especially during this most challenging year – means the world to me.”
Dr. Dwivedi is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (ACP), and a member of the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA), and the HIV Medical Association (HIVMA). He has also been published in The Journal of Clinical Microbiology and is a clinical assistant professor at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and Assistant Professor at Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine at Seton Hall University. As a consistent recipient of the Top Doctors recognition by New Jersey Monthly Magazine and now three-time winner of the Nurses Choice Award Physician of the Year at Ocean Medical Center, it is clear that Dr. Dwivedi has set a gold standard for collaboration between medical personnel in creating the best possible outcomes for patients.
Through ID Care, Dr. Dwivedi helps healthcare organizations, like Hackensack Meridian Health Ocean Medical Center, strengthen their access to the most effective prevention methods, accurate diagnostic approaches, and promising state-of-the-art treatments available today.
