Nancy J. Dreher, RN, BSN, MSN, NP-C, WCC, DWC
Nancy Dreher, RN, MSN, NP-C, WCC, DWC, has been with ID Care since 2010 and has been a nurse since 1975. Since her schooling, Nancy spent years as a staff ICU nurse and as a hospital nursing supervisor. Seeking diversity in her career, she also managed an anticoagulation clinic at a cardiology practice and obtained a Hyperbaric Medicine Certificate, allowing her to oversee patients receiving treatments at the HBO center at Saint Clare’s in Dover.
Nancy works as a team with her peers – allowing for coordinated care and enhanced communication to improve patient outcomes. Nancy has a sense of pride seeing patients become active in life again because they are feeling better, particularly in the wound center. Her favorite aspect of working in medicine is the outpatient population – as her strong background in cardiology and time spent working with outpatients in that field gives her a better understanding of patients as a whole and daily challenges they face.
Nancy was motivated to become a Nurse Practitioner for the quest of knowledge and so she could enhance her ability to give excellent patient care. Throughout her career, Nancy is most proud of her time as a critical care nurse, working and guiding staff in multiple supervisor positions, and getting her Masters degree while raising a family and working. When she isn’t caring for patients, Nancy enjoys traveling, spending time with her husband of 36 years, and being a grandparent.
